Review from Jordan & William written March 23rd, 2014
"We had a fantastic time here. We even stayed three weeks longer than we originally planned. The work was varied, we got to take part in some very interesting projects and met some great people. A good place for people wanting to get involved in and learn more about the setting up of a sustainable, organic farm."

"This was a great first workaway experience, I really couldn't ask for better!
Even though I am not that interested in farming, I found some interesting and fun work to do. It's a perfect place to meet new people from all around the world, to learn how to cook (my mom was impressed haha), to learn about organic farming, to relax and of course to have fun!
Big thanks to Mark, Ihsan and other volunteers for making these three weeks so memorable. I hope to come back one day to see how everything has changed and improved. Best of luck!"

"This was our first workaway experience and it gave us more than we ever expected. Our 4 weeks at the farm were full of new interesting things to learn. The location of the farm is excellent. Even though it’s located near to the beautiful city centre of Girne, it still is a peaceful place.
Girne is full of different things to do during your free time, so everyone can find something fun to do. Travelling and eating in Northern Cyprus is cheap. The food that we got from the farm was really good and we had a good time cooking. The farm is on its way to be self sufficient and even though they still need some groceries from the market, you can use most of the plants you find from the farm and you’re warmly encouraged to do so.
The farm itself is a great experience but getting to know and spending time with other volunteers made it even better. We were also lucky to meet Raychel who is truly passionate about permaculture. When Raychel is away, the farm is run by Mark and Ihsan who do it well, making sure things get done and that the volunteers are always alright. The place is also very good for learning English and why not other languages too as there are people from all over the world. The internationality is one of best things there. The outside shower is something we miss, it was relaxing. Finns we love sauna and now we’ve heard that they built one so all the newcomers will be able to enjoy that as well! Maybe we’ll have to come back one day to give it a try! We are also missing the lovely cats! We miss all the people we got to know there and we wish everything good for the farm. For the person that is now reading this and thinking if to go to the farm, we highly recommend it. Thank you for everything we got, we will never forget this great experience."

"I ended up staying longer than I originally planed. Instead of one month I spent more than three months in Cyprus.
The Garden is a wonderful place to improve your English skills, learn about farming, vegetarian and healthy food and to meet lovely people from all over the world.
The Farm is quiet young which makes it interesting because there are a lot of projects. Slowly it is becoming more self sustainable. Making your lunch just out of the food from the garden is now possible, Pretty cool hm?!
The farm is very close to the beautiful city Girne. There are a lot of things to do after work. Going to the habour or the beach, visiting the castle etc. You should make sure that you visit the American University or the sandy beaches in Lefke.
Ray is an amazing host. You'll also get farm phones for emergencies. I never met someone as passionate about organic farming as her. It's unbelieveble how much she knows. Unfortunately she can't be there all the time anymore but Ihsan and Mark who are running this farm now do a good job, too. They are awesome.
Thank you guys, you made it feel like home."

"The farm is a great place for people who want to do some proper farm work, while at the same time being close to the sea & luxuries of the city :)
Was awesome and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for some semi-relaxing but at the same time sweat-dripping and creative farm work."

"Thanks for having us! Our experience staying with you was without a dull moment, and we learnt a lot. You kindled within us an interest in growing things which we continue to nurture, and I hope that our toil out in the fields has been to some avail. May the harvest be bountiful! We also hope that the dogs are doing well!
You were very kind to us, and generous, and we wish you and your project all the success that you deserve."

"We worked on the farm for a little over 2 months from mid January to mid March. The farm is still in the beginning stages, and has the potential to grow and produce many things. We helped to sprout seedlings, build "green" fencing, dig furrows, transplant starts from the greenhouse to the outdoors and generally caretake the garden plants and animals. The work was more than fair, and provided us with a lot of time off to explore. Northern Cyprus is a beautiful place! Our schedules were flexible based on our needs and those of the farm. Accomodations were nice and you will never go hungry. We were even offered yoga classes! We've done a lot of volunteering over the past years, and we felt really taken care of here and at times even spoiled. Thanks for everything! We wish you all the best with your project and continued growth! "
